1. Slow down - just follow the speed limit
2. Check your tire pressure - at least once a month, in cool condition.
3. Accelerate moderately
4. Turn off air conditioner - (only applicable at night)

What is lubricant?

Engine is just like a human heart and lubricant is just like blood. If the oil cannot perform properly, engine will become sick. In man, if the blood is full of cholesterol, we get heart attack. Like blood in the body, oil travel through system of “arteries” to reach the engine’s important moving parts.

What do engine oils consist of?

Motor oil has 2 primary ingredients
Base Oil + Additives
Base Oil – performs vital function to lubricate the moving parts and protect them against wear and tear caused by friction.
Additives – provides additional engine protection by helping prevent the oil from deteriorating under extreme operating temperature in the engine.

Why we need engine oil?

How is motor oil rated?

Motor oils must be considered according to it viscosity rating. Viscosity is the ability of the oilto flow freely. In hot weather, oil flows freely but may be too thin to provide protection from friction. In cold weather, oil turns thick and may be less able to flow throughout the engine.Currently there are 2 types of oils in the market: single-viscosity and multi-viscosity. Some single-viscosity may not have detergents. Oil manufacturers rate motor oil according to the range of temperatures they are expected to operate in. The lower the number, the thinner the oil and the more easily it flows.
For example, 10W-40, the two numbers means its multi-viscosity oil. 10 is the lowest range and 40 being the highest range. The W means it can be used in winter conditions.
